Title transcribed from handwriting on cover
Journal-style entries, dated from 14 September 1899 through 30 November 1899
Handwriting varies a bit throughout, and some entries may have been written by (that is, not just based on information from) other note takers who are named in some entries, including: Eckinfel[?]; W.J. Bailey; D. May; and Littell. The cover and some pages are stamped "Examined, H.K.V."
Illustrated with sketches and diagrams, including plans for rural (campus?) structures, such as: hen house, ice house, boiler house, railroad bridge, manholes, telephone and telegraph lines, carpenter shop, blacksmith shop, veterinary lab, and a college hall
Leaves are written on both sides. Approximately fifteen leaves are blank
Notebook appears to be commercially-produced, with graph paper printed in red and blue, and a full leather binding
From the collection of Leslie Leland Locke, with his bookplate
Handwritten notes on field surveying exercises, which may have been conducted by students at an unidentified college or university
SCDIRB copy 39088016713802 is the gift of Henry Buhl Library, Grove City College, with the bookplate of Leslie Leland Locke
